Padres Prospect Report: August 5, 2009

Josh Geer to Nick Hundley – in Portland – while Craig Stansberry flirts with a cycle. Matt Buschmann may have to get comfortable in relief. Cesar Ramos is in Lake Elsinore and James Darnell is sending them out. Drew Cumberland is a hit out of the leadoff spot. Nick Greenwood has another solid start and Chris Fetter nets a save. Deiber Sanchez is rocked. Luis Domoromo hits his sixth triple.

Portland (48-63) won 6-2 over Albuquerque (Dodgers) Nick Hundley went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting the game in the top of the sixth. The backstop has not played because of a wrist injury suffered when he was hit by a Chad Billingsley pitch. He has missed 42 games to date and counting.
