Padres Prospect Report: July 16, 2009

Yamid Haad has hit well since joining Portland. Evan Scribner gives up runs in four straight games. Wynn Pelzer walks six in a loss. Eduardo Perez starts and takes the loss. Miles Mikolas is in trouble each inning but the offense is solid; errors and homers, however, doom the Emeralds. Corey Adamson contributes in the AZL. Adan Velazquez hits two in a loss.

Portland (43-49) won 8-4 over Salt Lake (Angels) Yamid Haad had three hits in four trips, including a double. He also scored a pair of runs and notched a two-out RBI. Haad, who played for Portland during the 2003 and 2004 seasons, is 8-for-18 with two walks in his first five games with the Beavers this year, notching a hit in each affair.
