Baum dialed in; Garrison great

Portland pitching falters, as Enrique Gonzalez and Sean Henn have rough nights. Steve Garrison propelled the Missions to their second straight shutout. Nathan Culp was fantastic again, but the pen almost blew it. Justin Baum 7, Lansing 5 – the Wizards are now five games over .500. Juan Rosario was impressive in a DSL start but the bullpen was not.

Portland (29-30) lost 9-2 to Sacramento (A's) It took Sean Henn 26 pitches to secure two outs. The left-hander allowed an inherited runner to score and surrendered a run of his own on two hits and two walks while also uncorking a wild pitch. Henn allowed 11 hits and nine walks across 9.1 innings with the San Diego Padres but did hold all but one of the three runners he inherited from scoring...
