Carrillo roughed up, literally

Portland, OR – A seemingly vacant scorecard told the story for the Beavers tonight at PGE Park as the Salt Lake Bees pitching staff dominated a tired Beavers offense; and the Bees offense put up double-digit hits in a 9-2 rout. An airport delay caused the Beavers to arrive home ten hours later than expected and miss pre-game routine workouts and, most likely, good rest.

Opening up their second home stand of the season, the Portland Beavers (10-13) and Cesar Carrillo welcomed the Salt Lake Bees (14-10) to town for the first of a four-game series Monday night. Carrillo, who has yet to post a win in five starts this season, was roughed up and frustrated from the beginning.
