Drew Miller had a no-hitter through 5.2 innings. Rayner Contreras put up four more RBI's and now leads the league in the category, averaging 1.5 RBI's per game played.

Portland lost 10-5 to Iowa (Cubs) Manager Craig Colbert, outfielder Terrmel Sledge, and pitcher Dewon Brazelton were ejected from the game in the third inning. All were ejected for disputing a ruling that gave Sledge a ground-rule double after it was initially called a home run.
