Kintzler where he left off; Venable steal in seven

Chris Oxspring has been as good as it gets over his last seven outings. Brian Whitaker finally got on the winning side of the ledger. Fabian Jimenez was rocked hard – again. Portland won 2-1 Chris Oxspring struck out eight over 6.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits without walking a batter. Oxspring has struck out 78 while walking 23 in 91.1 innings. Oxspring has allowed two earned runs or less in eight of his 15 starts this year, including six of the last seven. His ERA has dropped from 6.80 to 4.24.
