Fans that came out Friday were treated to free baseball at three of the four affiliate's games. While the extra innings were great for fans, it wasn't such a good time for the bullpens, as closers struggled and extra inning heroics were the norm.

Portland lost 6-5 in 10 Wilson Valdez made his Portland Beavers debut after being acquired in a trade for Mike Bumstead and R.D. Spiehs. He went 0-for-4 and is now 0-for-8 in Pacific Coast League play, seeing action in one game for the Tacoma Rainers. In 42 games for Seattle, Valdez hit .198 with a .235 on base percentage.
