Stauffer starts his Major League career with a win

San Diego Padres right-hander Tim Stauffer made his Major League debut on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds, earning the his first Major League win. The right-hander went 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA for Portland this year.

Tim Stauffer was promoted from Class AAA Portland Monday when Tim Redding went on the disabled list.
