Chris Tierney suffered his worst loss as a Padre prospect. Fort Wayne split a doubleheader. Another prospect retires.

Greg Bochy, the son of Padres manager Bruce Bochy, has decided to retire. Bochy, a third baseman for Single-A Fort Wayne, was batting .188 with two home runs and 15 RBIs in 34 games. He ended his career with a 6-for-46 slump. The Padres drafted the Mt. Carmel High and Palomar College product as a pitcher in the 36th round of the 2002 draft, but he shifted to the infield last year. Portland lost... Recommended Stories
