Both the Chihuahuas and Missions lose. The Storm see a payoff from the Huston Street trade and the TinCaps roll. The Ems win on a late home run and the AZL Padres suffer a rare rainout.

Prospect Watch:Keyvius Sampson got his second straight start, after spending June and July in the bullpen, and wasn’t that bad with seven strikeouts in four innings but he also caught a little too much of the plate at times with two of the three hits against him for extra-bases...Cody Decker is now second on the team behind Brooks Conrad in home runs and third in the organization with 16...Rymer Liriano has made a nice entrance into AAA hitting .459/.512/.622 in his first nine games...Relief pitcher Stephen Kohlscheen, who came over in the Chris Denorfia trade had his debut with El Paso tonight.

Prospect Watch:After winning three games in a row the Missions have now dropped a pair only scoring two runs in the past 18 innings...Justin Hancock made his second straight start where he only gave up one earned run....Alex Dickerson kept his nine game hitting streak alive with a double tonight....After getting off to a .135 start in his first ten games in AA, Hunter Renfroe has hit .298/.362/.464....Six-foot-six lefty Jeff Ibarra has put up some good numbers this season with a 44/15 K/BB ratio in 39.1 innings.

Storm 5 - Lancaster Jethawks 1

Prospect Watch:The Storm put together a big four run inning in the fifth that was enough for the win as Elliot Morris, who came over in the Huston Street, trade pitched another strong game. Morris now has a 1.89 ERA in 19 innings in the three games that he has thrown for Lake Elsinore....Jose Rondon, who also came over in the Street deal, has also looked good with a .280/.357/.320 slash line...Chris Nunn has been much better in the second half with a 2.91 ERA as compared to the first with a 4.88.

Prospect WatchJimmy Brasoban threw his best game of the year as the TinCaps blanked West Michigan to end their two game losing streak...A big night for Nick Schulz, who was signed as a free agent out of San Jose State before Spring Training, has been making the most of his opportunities in Fort Wayne, had a big night reaching base four times along with a home run. On the year Schulz is hitting .301/.350/.419.

Prospect WatchThe Ems broke a 6-6 tie on Auston Bousfield’s home run to left field to give Eugene their twenty-first win of the year. Bousfield, a fifth round selection out of the University of Mississippi this season, has slowly seen his slash line climb north with a .271/.380/.506 line...Marcus Davis is now at .354/.450/.602...Walker Weickel, a first round supplemental draft pick in 2012, had his second rough outing in Eugene after struggling in Fort Wayne earlier this season with a 6.32 ERA in 15 games.
