All-Star break for El Paso

Key Statistics: RHP James Needy 6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 Ks; DH Jason Hagerty 2-3, 2 2B, RS, BB; SS Brian Bixler 2-4, 3B, RBI.

Prospect Watch Rymer Liriano came into the game halfway through, proceeded to get hit by a pitch in his first at bat, and then left. It was a precautionary measure and he should be fine. James Needy did not have his best game but was able to roll double plays when he needed it... Trevor Gott came on for the save but couldn’t last more than a third of an inning. He allowed two runs before he was removed. Jeff Ibarra came on got an inning ending double play and that was a game over.

Ems 7 – Vancouver Canadians 13

Key Statistics: 1B Marcus Davis 2-5, 2 RBI; DH Trae Santos 1-3, HR (3), 2 RBI; RHP Tony Rizzotti 2 IP, 4 Ks.

Prospect Watch Horrible day for Franchy Cordero. Not only did he go 0-4 at the plate with a pair of strikeouts but he also committed four errors. It got so bad that the Ems decided to remove him from the game for we assume was defensive reasons.
