Biography:
2009

Luebke was named a California League All-Star. Luebke went 8-2 with a 2.34 ERA across 14 starts with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 88.1 innings, he allowed 73 hits, walked 19 and struck out 80. He held the opposition to a .227 average and held the leadoff hitter of an inning to a .179 average. The opposition stole seven bases off him in 10 attempts. He allowed just three homers with the Storm, allowing two runs or less 11 times in 14 starts.

Cory Luebke went 3-2 with a 3.70 ERA across nine starts with the San Antonio Missions. In 41.1 innings, he allowed 38 hits, walked 15 and struck out 32. He held the opposition to a .241 average. The opposition was caught stealing in all three stolen base attempts. He allowed three homers, hit two batters, tossed two wild pitches, and induced two double play grounders. The opposition hit .257 off him in 35 at-bats with runners in scoring position.

2008

Luebke went 3-3 with a 2.89 ERA across 10 starts with the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 56 innings he allowed 52 hits, walked nine, and struck out 40. Luebke held the opposition to a .265 average.

Luebke went 3-6 with a 6.84 ERA across 17 games, including 15 starts with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 72.1 innings he allowed 97 hits, 23 walks and struck out 60. He allowed eight homers and induced six double play grounders while holding the opposition to a .323 average.

2007

Luebke went 3-0 with a 1.46 ERA over eight games, including three starts, for the Eugene Emeralds. In 24.2 innings he allowed 18 hits, walked two and struck out 26.

Luebke went 1-2 with a 3.33 ERA over five starts with the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 27 innings he allowed 29 hits, walked five and struck out 30.

Luebke went 1-1 with a 7.71 ERA over two games, including one start, with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 7.0 innings he allowed 10 hits and walked one while striking out five. He allowed one homer and hit one batter while inducing three double play grounders. He saw the opposition attempt one stolen base off him and that man was caught.

Luebke went 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA over three Storm playoff games. In 11.1 innings he allowed 10 hits, walked six and struck out 11.

Cory Leubke was selected in the supplemental first round of the 2007 MLB Draft, 63rd overall.

Luebke went 9-1 with a 2.07 ERA (27 ER/117.2 IP) in 16 starts for the Buckeyes in 2007. The 6-4, 200-pound left-hander led the Big Ten Conference in wins, ERA, strikeouts (98), opponents batting average against (.213) and innings pitched. A junior from Maria Stein, OH, Luebke was selected to the 2007 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America third team. He was also named 2007 Big Ten Conference Pitcher of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player of the Big Ten Tournament. Additionally, Luebke, 22, garnered first-team All-Mideast Region honors and was a unanimous first-team All-Conference selection.
