Baum hit .269 with 43 hits in 160 at bats for the Eugene Emeralds. In 41 games he had 11 doubles, eight homers, 27 runs scored and 33 RBIs. He drew 18 walks compared to 41 strikeouts and was hit by four pitches. He committed 11 errors in 40 games at third.
Baum hit .286 with 20 hits in 70 at bats for the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 22 games he had seven doubles, two homers, five RBIs and eight runs scored. He also drew 10 walks compared to 20 strikeouts.
