Jonathan Alia hit .304 across 53 games with the AZL Padres. He went 62-for-204 with 13 doubles, three triples, six homers, 37 runs scored and 41 RBI. He posted a .377 on-base percentage with a 23-to-54 walk-to-strikeout ratio while getting hit by two pitches. He stole one base in three attempts and committed seven errors in the field. He hit .377 with runners in scoring position and grounded into one double play. Alia was fourth in the league in RBI.

The eighth-leading hitter in NCAA Division II in 2009, Alia batted a school-record .467 and ranked third in the nation with program-best 98 base hits. He also set single-season school records with 20 home runs, 78 RBI, 25 doubles, 187 total bases and .890 slugging percentage. |
