Kyle Blanks hit .283 across 66 games with the Portland Beavers. He went 66-for-233 with nine doubles, one triple, 12 homers, 35 runs scored and 38 RBI. He posted a .393 on-base percentage with a 39-to-63 walk-to-strikeout ratio. He committed four errors in the field. He hit .308 in 65 at-bats with runners in scoring position and grounded into three double plays.
2008
Blanks was named to the Texas League post-season All-Star team. He tied a 60-year-old Missions club record with nine RBIs on 8/25/08.
Blanks hit .325 with 160 hits in 492 at-bats with the San Antonio Missions. He collected 23 doubles, five triples, 20 homers, 75 runs scored, and 107 RBIs across 132 games. He also drew 51 walks compared to 90 strikeouts for a .404 on-base percentage and stole five bases in nine attempts. He finished the year third in the Texas League in batting average, second in RBIs, fifth in slugging (.514) and fourth in on-base percentage. Blanks was seventh overall in the entire minors in RBIs.
2007
Blanks was named to the California League postseason All-Star team.
Blanks hit .301 with 140 hits in 465 at bats for the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 119 games he had 31 doubles, four triples, 24 homers, 94 runs scored and 100 RBIs. Hedrew 44 walks compared to 98 strikeouts and stole 11 bases in 13 attempts. He was also hit by a team-high 18 pitches.
Blanks hit .316 with two doubles, three homers, 10 runs scored and 10 RBIs for the Storm in the playoffs.
2006
Kyle Blanks was named to the 2006 Midwest League All-Star team.
Blanks hit .292 with 90 hits in 308 at bats for the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 86 games he collected 20 doubles, ten homers, 41 runs scored and 52 RBI's. He also drew 36 walks and whiffed 79 times. Blanks had an infection in his leg that caused him to miss he last month and a half od the season.
2005
Blanks hit .299 in 48 games with Peoria, leading the Arizona Rookie League in homers with seven during the 2005 season. He drove in 30, scored 33 and had 18 extra base hits. He also posted a .420 on base percentage, walking 25 times to 49 strikeouts and getting hit by ten pitches.

Blanks was selected in the 42nd round of the 2004 MLB Amateur Draft. He was signed days before the 2005 Draft. He batted .440 and stole 23 bases for Yavapai Community College in Arizona, winning Player of the Year honors. |
