Hefner went 0-0 with a 3.60 ERA across one start with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In five innings he allowed three hits, two walks and struck out six.

2007

Hefner went 2-5 with a 3.90 ERA over 17 games, including 11 starts, with the Eugene Emeralds. In 62.1 innings he allowed 51 hits, walked 20 and struck out 74 (tied for the team lead). He tossed eight wild pitches and allowed three homers.
