Chris Tremlay was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 19th round of the 2009 MLB Draft, 564th overall.

Tremblay ended his Kent State career as the school leader in career assists (591). He was career .322 hitter and finished third in career at-bats (804) and fourth in career hits (259). He was named MAC tournament MVP with seven hits in 14 at-bats with eight runs scored and a home run.
