Alley hit .282 with 81 hits in 287 at-bats with the San Antonio Missions. He collected 15 doubles, three triples, four homers, 38 runs scored, and 30 RBIs across 108 games. He also drew 56 walks compared to 42 strikeouts for a .397 on-base percentage and stole seven bases in 10 attempts.
2007
Alley went 2-for-12 over five games with the Portland Beavers, collecting double, RBI, run scored and a walk.
Alley hit .297 with a .405 on base percentage, going 55-for-140 with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 53 games he had 10 doubles, four triples, a homer, 25 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He also drew 36 walks compared to 35 strikeouts while adding seven stolen bases in 11 attempts.
Alley hit .442 with a .556 on base percentage for the Storm in the playoffs. He scored 10 runs and added five RBIs, drawing 10 walks compared to four strikeouts.
2006
Alley, who was placed on the disabled list in early June, had been on a rehab stint with the AZL Padres in 2006. In seven games, he was hitting .323 with six runs scored, a pair of doubles and triples and six runs batted in.
Alley hit .205 with 48 hits in 234 at bats for the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 67 games he collected 11 doubles, two homers, 23 RBI's and 27 runs scored. He also drew 52 walks and whiffed 33 times. Alley stole 11 bases in 17 attempts.
2005
Alley hit .263 with 40 walks to just 26 K's in 45 games for Fort Wayne in 2005, recording a .411 OBP in the process.
He hit .365 with a .500 OBP in 14 games for the Eugene Emeralds in 2005. He walked 15 times while striking out nine times and scored 11 runs.
Alley was selected by the Padres in the 10th round out of the University of Tennessee in the 2005 June Amateur Draft. He led the Volunteers to an appearance in the NCAA College World Series and overall record of 46-21.
