Michael Watt went 7-4 with a 4.17 ERA across 31 games, including 18 starts, with the Fort Wayne TinCaps. In 121 innings, he allowed 119 hits, walked 44 and struck out 87. He held the opposition to a .259 average. The opposition stole 18 bases off him in 24 attempts. He allowed six homers, hit nine batters, tossed seven wild pitches, and induced four double play grounders. The opposition hit .277 off him in 119 at-bats with runners in scoring position.
Michael Watt allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while inducing a double play grounder in three innings with the Portland Beavers.
2008
Michael Watt made 15 starts for Rookie-level Ogden this season. The left-hander went 9-4 with a 4.35 ERA (39 ER/80.2 IP), 79 strikeouts and 21 walks while tossing two complete games. Watt went 4-0 over his final four starts of 2008, posting a 3.72 ERA (12 ER/29.0 IP). Over parts of two seasons in the Dodgers organization (2007-08), Watt is 9-4 with a 4.07 ERA (46 ER/101.2 IP) with 97 strikeouts in 25 games (21 starts). A native of Mission Viejo, Calif., he was selected by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft out of Capistrano Valley High School.
