Sogard was named to the Texas League All-Star squad.
Eric Sogard hit .293 across 117 games with the San Antonio Missions. He went 134-for-457 with 25 doubles, three triples, six homers, 79 runs scored and 51 RBI. He posted a .370 on-base percentage with a 58-to-47 walk-to-strikeout ratio. He stole 10 bases in 16 attempts and committed 15 errors in the field. He hit .269 in 130 at-bats with runners in scoring position and grounded into 12 double plays. Sogard led the team with seven sacrifice flies and was second on the team with six sacrifice bunts. Sogard ended the season ninth in the Texas League in batting average. Sogard had a 21-game on-base streak during the season.
2008:
Sogard was named a post-season All-Star in the California League.
Sogard hit .308 with 165 hits in 536 at-bats with the Lake Elsinore Storm. He collected a team leading 42 doubles, three triples, 10 homers, 97 runs scored, and 87 RBIs. He also drew 79 walks compared to 62 strikeouts and stole 16 bases in 23 attempts.
2007:
Sogard hit .256 with 32 hits in 125 at bats for the Eugene Emeralds. In 31 games he had nine doubles, two homers, 18 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He drew 19 walks compared to 16 strikeouts and stole four bases in six attempts.
Sogard went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in one spot appearance with the Portland Beavers.
Sogard hit .253 with 21 hits in 83 at bats for the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 22 games he had two doubles, two homers, seven runs scored and 15 RBIs. He drew six walks compared to 13 strikeouts and stole four bases in six attempts.

The 2007 Pacific-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Sogard, out of Arizona State University, batted .400 (100-for-250) with 12 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs, 62 RBI and 74 runs scored in 64 games for the Pac-10 Conference Champion Sun Devils this season. A native of Phoenix, AZ, Sogard also earned All Pac-10 honors for the second straight season. |
