Clark hit .279 with 39 hits in 140 at-bats with the Eugene Emeralds. He collected eight doubles, five homers, 18 runs scored, and 32 RBIs across 38 games. He also drew 23 walks compared to 38 strikeouts for a .384 on-base. He led the team with five sacrifice flies.

Clark was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 12th-round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
Clark led the Tigers and tied for the national lead in home runs this past season with 28 bombs in 277 at-bats. He hit .344 across 64 games while adding 17 doubles and 64 RBIs. He also drew 40 walks compared to 61 strikeouts.
