Drew Cumberland hit .293 across 77 games with the Fort Wayne TinCaps. He went 85-for-290 with 18 doubles, five triples, two homers, 57 runs scored and 40 RBI. He posted a .386 on-base percentage with a 40-to-36 walk-to-strikeout ratio. He stole 19 bases in 22 attempts and committed 16 errors in the field. He hit .301 in 83 at-bats with runners in scoring position and grounded into seven double plays.
2008
Cumberland went 5-for-10 with a double, two triples, three runs scored and two RBIs across three rehab games with the AZL Padres.
2007
Cumberland hit .310 with 26 hits in 84 at bats for the AZL Padres. In 21 games he collected two doubles, a triple, seven RBIs and 16 runs scored. He also drew seven walks while striking out 10 times. Cumberland stole six bases in seven attempts. He did commit 12 errors in the field.
Cumberland hit .333 with six hits in 18 at bats over four games for the Eugene Emeralds, drawing two walks and fanning twice while scoring six runs.

Class of 2007 Senior
As a junior, Drew hit .467 with 1 home run and 20 RBI. He stole 15 bases in 17 attempts. For his efforts, he was chosen 2nd team All-State and 1st team All-Area.
During the summer of 2006, he was selected to play for the southeast team in the East Coast Professional Showcase held in Wilmington, North Carolina.
He has received recruiting letters from Alabama, Auburn, Troy, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Clemson, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, South Alabama, West Virginia and Virginia.
