Kellen Kulbacki hit .201 across 36 games with the San Antonio Missions. He went 27-for-134 with five doubles, one triples, 11 runs scored and 11 RBI. He posted a .257 on-base percentage with a 9-to-23 walk-to-strikeout ratio. He stole two bases in three attempts and did not commit an error in the field. He hit .283 in 46 at-bats with runners in scoring position and grounded into four double plays.
2008
Kulbacki was named a post-season All-Star in the California League.
Kulbacki hit .164 with 10 hits in 61 at-bats with the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 18 games he had two doubles, two homers, nine runs scored and nine RBIs. He also drew nine walks compared to 19 strikeouts.
Kulbacki hit .332 with 101 hits in 339 at-bats with the Lake Elsinore Storm. He collected 18 doubles, 20 homers, 62 runs scored, and 66 RBIs. He also drew 47 walks compared to 52 strikeouts.
2007
Kulbacki hit .301 with 68 hits in 226 at bats for the Eugene Emeralds. In 61 games he had 13 doubles, three triples, eight homers, 33 runs scored and 29 RBIs. He drew 27 walks compared to 56 strikeouts.

Kulbacki was taken by the San Diego Padres in the supplemental first round of the 2007 MLB Draft, 40th overall.
College:
He hit .398 with 15 doubles, 19 home runs, and 150 total bases. He led the CAA with a .785 slugging percentage, a .538 on-base percentage, and a JMU single-season record 56 walks. Prior to the NCAA Super Regionals, Kulbacki ranked eighth nationally in home runs per game (0.36), fourth in walks per game (1.06), eighth in slugging percentage, 14th in home runs, 43rd in average, and 74th in runs per game (1.06). |
