Burke went 2-7 with a 2.24 ERA and 23 saves in 26 chances across 59 games, including one start with the San Antonio Missions. In 84.1 innings he allowed 76 hits, 17 walks and struck out 92. He allowed seven homers and induced seven double play grounders while holding the opposition to a .238 average. Burke ended the year third in the Texas League in saves and third in appearances.

2007

Burke went 4-4 with a 5.23 ERA over 51 games, including nine starts, with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 96.1 innings he allowed 105 hits and walked 28 while striking out 67. He allowed 11 homers, hit three batters, and tossed seven wild pitches while inducing seven double play grounders. Burke saw the opposition steal 11 bases off him in 14 attempts.

Burke went 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA over five Storm playoff games. In 6.1 innings he allowed eight hits, walked four and struck out three.

2006

Burke ended the season with the Fort Wayne Wizards where he went 6-5 with a 3.58 ERA over 24 games, including 17 starts. In 120.2 innings he allowed 130 hits, walked 14 and struck out 87. The opposition hit .275 off him with eight homers.

Burke went 2-1 with a 5.79 ERA over 12 appearances with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 18.2 innings he allowed 24 hits, walked five and struck out nine. The opposition hit .324 off him with one homer.
