Everth Cabrera hit .391 across seven games with the Lake Elsinore Storm in a rehab assignment. He went 9-for-23 with one double, one triple, seven runs scored and five RBI. He posted a .500 on-base percentage with a 5-to-2 walk-to-strikeout ratio. He stole four bases in seven attempts and committed two errors in the field. He hit .500 in four at-bats with runners in scoring position.

Everth Cabrera hit .333 across seven games with the Portland Beavers. He went 9-for-27 with two doubles and five runs scored. He posted a .379 on-base percentage with a 1-to-6 walk-to-strikeout ratio. He stole one base in as many attempts and committed one error in the field. He hit .000 in six at-bats with runners in scoring position.

The San Diego Padres selected Everth Cabrera from the Colorado Rockies organization with the third overall pick in the 2008 Rule 5 Draft. Everth Cabrera played in 121 games for Asheville of the Low-A South Atlantic League in 2008. The Nicaraguan batted .284 with 25 doubles, six triples, six homers, 38 RBIs and 80 runs scored.

The switch-hitter swiped 73 bases in 89 attempts this past season - far eclipsing the tally of any player in the Padres system - to lead the Sally League.
