Gonzalez hit .282 over 161 games with the San Diego Padres. In 646 at-bats he had 46 doubles, three triples, 30 homers, 100 RBIs and 101 runs scored. he also drew 65 walks compared to 140 strikeouts.

2006:

Gonzalez hit .304 with a .362 OBP over 156 games for the Padres as a rookie. In 570 at bats he had 173 hits, including 38 doubles and 24 homers - leading the team in both categories. He added 83 runss cored and 82 RBI's. Gonzalez drew 42 walks and struck out 113 times.
