Michael Watt made 15 starts for Rookie-level Ogden this season. The left-hander went 9-4 with a 4.35 ERA (39 ER/80.2 IP), 79 strikeouts and 21 walks while tossing two complete games. Watt went 4-0 over his final four starts of 2008, posting a 3.72 ERA (12 ER/29.0 IP). Over parts of two seasons in the Dodgers organization (2007-08), Watt is 9-4 with a 4.07 ERA (46 ER/101.2 IP) with 97 strikeouts in 25 games (21 starts). A native of Mission Viejo, Calif., he was selected by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft out of Capistrano Valley High School.

Watt was acquired by the San Diego Padres from the LA Dodgers on September 30 as part of the deal that sent Greg Maddux to Los Angeles earlier in the year. |
