Macias hit .288 with 145 hits in 504 at-bats with the San Antonio Missions. He collected 27 doubles, four triples, 11 homers, 92 runs scored, and 66 RBIs across 136 games. He also drew 83 walks compared to 81 strikeouts for a .393 on-base percentage and stole 18 bases in 24 attempts. Macias finished the year tied for second in the Texas League in runs scored. He also placed 13th overall in the entire minors in walks.
Macias hit .200 with four hits in 20 at-bats with the San Diego Padres. He collected two homers, two runs scored, and five RBIs across 17 games. He also drew two walks compared to six strikeouts for a .250 on-base percentage.
2007
Macias hit .282 with 31 hits in 110 at bats for the Portland Beavers. In 31 games he had six doubles, a triple, two homers, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He drew 21 walks compared to 25 strikeouts and stole three bases in four attempts.
Macias hit .143 with one triple, one run scored and two RBIs over seven Missions playoff games.
2006
Drew Macias hit .256 with 110 hits in 430 at bats over 134 games for the Mobile BayBears. He had 20 doubles, three triples, seven homers, 43 runs scored and 46 RBI's. He also drew 44 walks while striking out 94 times. Macias stole just four bases in 16 attempts.
Macias was named to the Southern League All-Star team in 2006, representing the Mobile BayBears.
2005
Macias hit .289 with 23 doubles, six triples, six homers and 66 RBI's in 128 games for the Lake Elsinore Storm. He scored 79 runs, drew 46 walks and whiffed 78 times for a .355 OBP. He also stole 15 bases in 30 attempts.
2004
Macias was one of the few players to spend the entire year with Fort Wayne. He provided excellent defense in centerfield and was a revelation at the plate. He batted above .280 for most of the season until he wore down at the end and ended the year at .266. He added eight homers and 55 RBI's in 129 games while walking 49 times and striking out 68 times. |
