Guevara went 0-3 with a 6.50 ERA across 16 games with the Portland Beavers. In 18 innings he allowed 16 hits, nine walks and struck out 20. He allowed one homer while holding the opposition to a .232 average.

Guevara was selected by the Marlins in the Major League portion (5th overall) of the 2007 Rule 5 Draft before being traded to the Padres.
He went 1-2 with 16 saves and a 2.32 ERA (16 ER/62.0 IP) over 51 relief appearances for Double-A Chattanooga in the Cincinnati Reds organization in 2007. Guevara recorded 87 strikeouts compared to 23 walks, averaging 12.63 strikeouts per 9.0 IP while limiting opponents to a .226 average.
Over parts of five minor league seasons in the Reds organization, Guevara has a career record of 11-13 with 40 saves, a 2.90 ERA (96 ER/297.2 IP), 384 strikeouts and 105 walks. He has appeared in 202 games, making five starts. |
