Viloria went 2-3 with a 5.63 ERA over 14 starts for the AZL Padres. In 54.1 innings he allowed 49 hits, walked 36 and struck out 73. He ranked second in the AZL in K's, and averaged 12.09 k's per 9 which ranks 2nd best in all the minor leagues for SP's. He also ranked third in walks allowed in the AZL.
Notes:
A left-handed pitcher, Euclides Viloria was signed by the Padres off the International market for roughly $150K on July 2, 2006. The Venezuelan product worked in the 88-91 range as a 16-year old. |
