Murphree went 35-for-140 across 42 games with the AZL Padres. He hit .250 with six doubles, three triples, four homers, 20 runs scored and 38 RBIs. He also drew 26 walks compared to 35 strikeouts and led the team with six sacrifice flies.
Notes:
The San Diego Padres selected Aaron Murphree in the 27th-round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
The outfielder hit 12 home runs in his first 12 games for Arkansas and ended the year with 14 homers, six doubles and 40 RBIs to go along with a .305 average. He also drew 16 walks compared to 30 strikeouts and stole six bags in seven attempts.
