Brach went 1-1 with a 2.01 ERA and four saves across 17 games with the AZL Padres. In 22.1 innings he allowed 21 hits, walked five and struck out 33.

The San Diego Padres selected Brad Brach in the 42nd-round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
Brach is the all-time leader in career wins at Monmouth, earning victories in 29 games, while he also holds the top spot on the all-time strikeout list with 277. He is also the only pitcher in Monmouth history to work over 300 career innings.
