Musgrave went 6-1 with a 3.21 ERA across 27 games with the Eugene Emeralds. In 42 innings he allowed 34 hits, 11 walks and struck out 66. He allowed two homers and induced one double play grounder while holding the opposition to a .217 average.

The San Diego Padres selected Robert Musgrave in the 14th-round of the 2008 MLB Draft.
Musgrave went 12-1 with a 2.51 ERA, six complete games, three shutouts and 101 strikeouts for Wichita State this past season. In 111.1 innings he allowed 99 hits and walked 22, keeping the opposition to a .241 average against.
