Wells went 3-7 with a 5.24 ERA over 47 games, including 10 starts, with the Portland Beavers. In 92.2 innings he allowed 107 hits, walked 48 and struck out 87. He allowed nine homers, tossed 10 wild pitches and induced seven double play grounders. He ended the year with 15 straight scoreless appearances out of the bullpen.
2006
Jared Wells was named to the Southern League All-Star team in 2006 but was promoted to Portland before he could play in the game. The right-hander went 4-3 with a 2.64 ERA over 12 starts for Mobile in 2006. In 61.1 innings he struck out 49, allowed 53 hits and walked 27 while holding the opposition to a .235 average with four homers against.
Wells went 2-9 with a 7.27 ERA over 15 starts for the Portland Beavers. In 73 innings he allowed 87 hits, walked 46 and struck out 55. The opposition hit .296 off him with eight homers.

Wells went 11-3 with a 3.44 ERA in 19 appearances for the Lake Elsinore Storm, all as a starter, in 2005. In 120.1 innings he allowed 116 hits, walked 26 and struck out 80.
Wells went 2-5 with a 4.40 ERA in seven games for the Mobile BayBears, all as a starter, in 2005. In 43 innings he allowed 51 hits, walked 16 and struck out 22.
2004
Wells went 4-6 with a 4.09 ERA for Fort Wayne, striking out 72 in 81.1 innings. He was promoted to Lake Elsinore where he went 4-6 with a 4.52 ERA amd 38 K's in 71.2 innings.
