Thatcher went 5-2 with a 2.77 ERA across 37 games with the Portland Beavers. In 39 innings he allowed 38 hits, 11 walks and struck out 44. He allowed two homers and induced five double play grounders while holding the opposition to a .248 average.
Thatcher went 0-4 with a 8.42 ERA across 25 games with the San Diego Padres. In 25.2 innings he allowed 42 hits, 13 walks and struck out 17. He allowed four homers and induced three double play grounders while holding the opposition to a .382 average.
2007
Thatcher went 2-1 with one save and a 2.08 ERA over 24 appearances with Triple-A Nashville before being acquired by San Diego. In 21.2 innings he allowed 19 hits, walked seven and struck out 33. He also appeared in 14 games for Double-A Huntsville where he sported a 0.55 ERA, allowing 11 hits and two walks over 16.1 innings while striking out 20.
Thatcher went 1-0 with a 1.04 ERA over eight appearances with the Portland Beavers. In 8.2 innings he allowed 10 hits, walked one and struck out 11.
He was called up to San Diego several times and ended the year with the Padres. Thatcher went 2-2 with a 1.29 ERA over 22 games with the Padres. In 21 innings he allowed 13 hits, walked six and struck out 16.
