Teague went 7-8 with a 4.75 ERA across 39 games, including 16 starts, with the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 108 innings he allowed 130 hits, walked 30, and struck out 62. Teague held the opposition to a .300 average while inducing a team-high 14 double play grounders.
2007:
Teague went 1-0 with a 4.38 ERA over 11 games, including seven starts, with the Eugene Emeralds. In 39 innings he allowed 39 hits, walked six and struck out 32. He gave up six homers on the year.
Teague went 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA over two spot starts with the Portland Beavers. In nine innings he allowed five hits, walked four and struck out nine.

Matt Teague was selected by the San Diego Padres in the eighth round of the 2007 MLB Draft.
Teague posted a 7-2 record as the ace of the Carson-Newman pitching staff, leading the Eagles with 74 strikeouts in 86 innings pitched. He walked just 16 batters all season and none in four of his last five starts. |
