Stansberry hit .273 with 127 hits in 466 at bats for the Portland Beavers. In 124 games he had 33 doubles, three triples, 14 homers, 75 RBIs and 83 runs scored. He drew 70 walks compared to 95 strikeouts and stole 10 bags in 20 attempts.

Stansberry was an August call-up to San Diego.

2006

Split the 2006 season between Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis in the Pittsburgh Pirates system, combining to hit .243 with 13 home runs, 55 RBIs and 18 stolen bases.
