Buschmann was named to the Texas League post-season All-Star team.
Buschmann went 10-6 with a 2.98 ERA across 27 starts with the San Antonio Missions. In 148 innings he allowed 137 hits, 58 walks and struck out 118. He allowed 13 homers and induced nine double play grounders while holding the opposition to a .250 average. Buschmann ended the year second in the Texas League in ERA and third in strikeouts but did toss a team-high 16 wild pitches.
2007
Buschmann was named to the California League postseason All-Star team.
Buschmann went 12-6 with a 2.89 ERA over 28 games, including 25 starts, with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 149.1 innings he allowed 153 hits and walked 26 while striking out 115. He allowed nine homers, hit eight batters, and tossed five wild pitches while inducing a team-high 20 double play grounders. He saw the opposition steal 21 bases off him in 27 attempts.
2006
Matt Buschmann went 3-4 with a 3.12 ERA over 15 games, including ten starts, with the Eugene Emeralds. In 60.2 innings he allowed 54 hits, walked 11 and struck out 63. He also had five wild pitches while holding the opposition to a .242 average with five homers.
Buschmann ended the year with the Lake Elsinore Storm, going 1-0 over two starts with a 3.55 ERA. In 12.2 innings he allowed nine hits, walked four and struck out five.
