Lara went 1-3 with a 5.67 ERA over seven starts with the Fort Wayne WIzards. In 33.1 innings he allowed 43 hits, walked six and struck out 32.
He was loaned to the Mexican League after his May 14 start.
Lara went 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA over three starts with the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 15 innings he allowed 14 hits and walked 10 while striking out 14. He allowed three homers and tossed one wild pitch while inducing one double play grounders. He saw the opposition steal 2 bases off him in 4 attempts.
2006:
Lara went 2-1 with a 3.23 ERA over 16 games, including ten starts, for the Eugene Emeralds. In 47.1 innings he allowed 37 hits, walked 14 and struck out 59. The opposition hit .216 off him.
