Chalk hit .364 with 16 hits in 44 at bats for the AZL Padres. In 12 games he collected five doubles, seven RBIs and 11 runs scored. He also drew six walks and fanned six times while stealing three bags in five attempts.
Chalk hit .229 with 19 hits in 83 at bats for the Eugene Emeralds. In 22 games he had two doubles, two triples, six RBIs and 14 runs scored. He drew 10 walks compared to 22 strikeouts.

Brad Chalk was taken with the 87th overall pick out of Clemson University.
A junior outfielder from Greer, SC, Chalk batted .366 (59-for-161) with 10 doubles, two triples, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 45 games for the Tigers this season. Chalk garnered second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 2007 and is a two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. A career.360 hitter at Clemson, he led the Tigers this season in batting average and on-base percentage (.483).
