Vantroit Medina went 3-5 with a 5.91 ERA over 14 games, including six strats, with the AZL Padres. In 45.2 innings he allowed 61 hits, walked 13 and struck out 38 while tossing six wild pitches. The opposition hit .313 off him, .323 with RISP. Lefties batted .408 off him while righties hit .258.

Medina was signed as a non-drafted free agent on November 1, 2004. He went 2-3 with a 7.08 ERA in 15 games, 11 starts, with the DSL Padres in 2005. In 48.1 innings he allowed 43 hits, walked 51 and struck out 37 while tossing ten wild pitches.
