Hefner went 2-5 with a 3.90 ERA over 17 games, including 11 starts, with the Eugene Emeralds. In 62.1 innings he allowed 51 hits, walked 20 and struck out 74 (tied for the team lead). He tossed eight wild pitches and allowed three homers.

Jeremy Hefner was selected by the San Diego Padres in the fifth round of the 2007 MLB Draft, 177th overall.
College:
At Oral Roberts, he was named the Mid-Con Newcomer of the Year, going 9-2 with a 3.03 ERA, striking out 107 in 86 innings and throwing a league-best five complete games.
Drafted by the Mets in the 46th round in 2004 and again in the 48th round in 2005, the right-hander spent two years at Seminole (Okla.) State . |
