Keoni Ruth was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 22nd-round of the 2007 MLB Draft.
Ruth batted .339 with 16 doubles, 45 runs scored and 29 RBIs in 50 games for Concordia after he spent his first three seasons at the University of San Diego under the guidance of head coach Rich Hill. He also drew 24 walks while whiffing just nine times. With the Toreros, Ruth was a three-time all-West Coast Conference pick, batting as high as .358 during his junior season. |
