Huff went 0-3 with two saves and a 7.50 ERA over 23 games with the Eugene Emeralds. In 24 innings he allowed 29 hits, walked 24 and struck out 23.
2006
Matt Huff went 4-1 with one save and a 3.15 ERA over 23 appearances with the AZL Padres. In 34.1 innings he allowed 33 hits and seven walks while striking out 38. The opposition hit .256 off him with a .189 mark with RISP. Huff led the Arizona Rookie League in appearances.
Huff pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless ball in the Arizona Rookie League Championship, allowing one hit and a walk while striking out two.
Huff was promoted to the Eugene Emeralds on September 1, 2006 where he pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit..
