Scott Cassidy went 3-1 with nine saves and a 2.70 ERA over 17 appearances with the Portland Beavers. In 20 innings he allowed 21 hits, walked six and struck out 23. The opposition hit .269 off him.

Cassidy originally signed with the Toronto Blue Jays as an undrafted free agent in 1998, after playing college at LeMoyne. He made his major league debut with the Blue Jays in 2002, when he spent the majority of the year on the big-league roster.
The Padres acquired Cassidy from the Boston Red Sox mid-year in 2005 in exchange for outfielder Adam Hyzdu. |
