| Selected as a second-round draft pick in 2002 from Dunedin High School in Dunedin, Fla. ... Named the Cubs 2004 Minor League Player of the Year and entered the 2005 season as the organization's No. 1 prospect by Baseball America ... Hit .307 with 39 home runs and 120 RBIs at Class-A Lansing in 2004 en route to Midwest League MVP honors ... Batted .235 with 16 home runs and 76 RBIs in 132 games at Class-A Daytona in 2005 ... Ranked the Cubs eighth best prospect by Baseball America entering 2006 ... Broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot in his Double-A debut against Birmingham on April 6, 2006 ... Returned to the lineup on June 2 and hit .257 with 1 HR and 23 RBI in 52 games ... Season ended on Aug. 6 at Carolina ... underwent follow-up surgery on the bone near the end of the 2006 season ...
