McDaid went 7-3 with a 4.91 ERA over 52 games, including one start, with the Fort Wayne Wizards. In 80.2 innings he allowed 93 hits, walked 23 and struck out 42, inducing seven double play grounders and yielding 11 homers.

McDaid led the Niners in 2006 in ERA among the starters. He finished his final season with a 9-3 record, with an ERA of 2.45. He pitched five complete games, one of them a shutout and was part of a combined shutout, in 14 starts and made one relief appearance. McDaid struck out 65 batters in 95.1 innings pitched, while walking only 23. He was the only regular starter not to surrender a home run in the entire season.
McDaid posted a career 15-6 record in two seasons at Charlotte. He struck out 103 batters in 176.2 innings pitched, walking 51. His career ERA was 4.12 in 30 games. He led the team or tied for the team lead in wins for both of his seasons in a Charlotte uniform. |
