Lara went 1-3 with a 5.67 ERA over seven starts with the Fort Wayne WIzards. In 33.1 innings he allowed 43 hits, walked six and struck out 32.
He was loaned to the Mexican League after his May 14 start.
2006:
Lara went 2-1 with a 3.23 ERA over 16 games, including ten starts, for the Eugene Emeralds. In 47.1 innings he allowed 37 hits, walked 14 and struck out 59. The opposition hit .216 off him.
Notes:
A year after putting up a 2.15 ERA in 50 innings for Sonoyta in Mexico's Sonora League, Lara has come stateside. |
