Leo Rosales went 5-6 with a 3.21 ERA over 53 appearances with the Mobile BayBears. In 61.2 innings he allowed 53 hits, walked 18 and struck out 54. The opposition hit .223 off him with six homers.
Rosales did not allow a run over five appearances with the Lake Elsinore Storm, giving up one hit in 20 at bats while walking two and striking out seven.
2005
Rosales went 8-7 with a 3.18 ERA and a California League leading 27 saves in 61 appearances for the Lake Elsinore Storm. In 65 innings he allowed 53 hits, walked 24 and struck out 77.
2004
Rosales was dominant with Fort Wayne. He ended the year with 26 saves despite not getting his first until after June 1. He went 6-1 with a 1.40 ERA. He struck out 66 in 57.2 innings and held the opposition to a .183 batting average. They hit just .127 off him when runners were in scoring position. Amazingly, he did not begin the year with any team as he remained in extended spring training.
Notes
Leo Rosales was selected in the 20th round of the 2003 draft by the Padres. The righthander was 5-7 with a 4.74 ERA for Cal-State Northridge. He went on to pitch for Eugene, going 3-1 with a 2.09 ERA in 43 innings.
