Oyervidez went 0-1 with a 5.65 ERA over six starts for the San Antonio Missions. In 28.2 innings he allowed 32 hits, walked 12 and struck out 19.

Oyervidez' season was cut short after his May 4 start due to discomfort in his throwing shoulder that required surgery.

2006

Joe Oyervidez went 6-12 with a 3.92 ERA over 28 starts with the Mobile BayBears. In 149.1 innings he allowed 146 hirs, walked 75 and struck out 131. The opposition hit .257 off him with 11 homers. Oyervidez was fifth in the Southern League in strikeouts and second within the Padres' organization.

2005

Jose Oyervidez went 7-9 with a 3.81 ERA in 27 games for the Mobile BayBears, all as a starter. In 153.2 innings he allowed 129 hits, walked 82 and struck out 130.

Struck out 58 in 31.1 innings of work with Idaho Falls in 2002 and 55 in 41 innings for Eugene in 2003. He missed all of 2004 recovering from injury.
